Yolanda Be Cool & D Cup have risen to No.1 on this week’s UK singles chart with ‘We No Speak Americano’.

The club anthem, that Ian said would be a massive summer tune, first entered the charts a fortnight ago. Since then the song has jumped from number two last week to take the top spot and end B.o.B’s short-lived reign. His song ‘Airplanes’ slips to three after Eminem & Rihanna climb up to two with ‘I Love The Way You Lie’.

London rapper Professor Green drops two spots on the chart from five to seven with ‘Just Be Good To Green’. JLS, are barely holding on inside the top 10 just two weeks after topping the chart, as ‘The Club Is Alive’ drops from number seven to nine.

The top ten singles in full:

So the sun is shining, the alcohol is flowing, the BBQs are going and summer is officially here. With the arrival of summer, we have some massive tunes hitting the stereos and ipods of the nation. Ben has already kicked us of with his top five selection of tunes and now its my turn. I have to admit there is a couple of tunes on Ben’s list that i wanted to put on mine, but as its summer i have had a vast amount to chose from anyway. So here it is, my top five sizzling summer songs. Kicking us off is a band from Leeds, home of one of the biggest festivals in the North of England. Its Hadouken!

1 Hadouken – House Is Falling

House Is Falling Down is a song of Hadoukens second smash hit album “For The Masses”. The song is not as aggressive as most of the other songs on the album but gives a brief rest bite for when the base kicks back in for the rest of the album. It still has clear undertones of the Nosia production showing through it, but with a softer melody and vocal overlaid its clear that the single is a Hadouken product. Most Hadouken songs are made to get people up and dancing, this one how ever gives you chance to prepare for the next track, Its Yolanda Be Cool VS DCUP

2 Yolanda Be Cool VS DCUP – We No Speak No Americano

Yolanda Be Cool are an Australian House/Electro duo straight out of Sydney. The boys have come from practically no where to become Radio One Playlist all stars thanks to the likes of Annie Mac & Scott Mills giving them some support. This songs been knocking around for a few months now but only recently has it been given the credit it deserves. Its such a feel good song that makes you wanna dance. Thats what Summer Anthems are all about. For more tracks by the Yolanda Be Cool duo, check out the pairs myspace.

3 M.I.A FT Jay Z.: ‘XXXO’

The first single taken from her brand new album ‘Maya’, ‘XXXO’ is set to be just as bigger hit as the club banger that is ‘Paper Planes’. The song its self has already been remixed by the King Pin of Hip Hop, Mr Jay Z. That alone just shows how much clout this single has. M.I.A has already been compared to Lady GaGa but to be honest, M.I.A has more talent than GaGa will ever have. On the plus side as well, she’s British and we all love a Brit that just doesn’t give a shit. M.I.A is one of them acts that is just gonna get bigger and bigger over the years and with people like Jay Z in her corner, expect some massive collaborations in the future

4 Unicorn Kid – Dream Catcher

Unicorn Kid’s first single after signing to Ministry Of Sound is set to be massive. The Electro/Chip composer is already making big waves in the industry at the moment and this dubstep beauty shows just why. Not only does this track make you feel like your in a fantasy land, but it also has essences of bands like YOU ONLY LOVE HER COZ SHES DEAD & Crystal Castles (minus the whining vocals). With a few remixes to his belt of big acts like Gorillaz, Unicorn Kid could be set to become the new Rusko. You can check his remixes out over on his Myspace.

5 Pendulum – Witchcraft

Ben may have stolen Swedish House Mafia’s Epic One from right under my nose but sod it, i brought out the big boys. Here’s Pendulums latest offering from their smash hit brand new album ‘Immersion’. This album is brilliant in every sense of the word and is the album everyone has been waiting for them to make, with songs on from practically most genres. ‘Witchcraft’ is set to be as bigger smash hit as ‘Propain Nightmares’ was back in 2008 so look out for it.

So thats the round up of my Five Sizzling Summer Songs for 2010, Next up is Katies Top five.

It’s that time of the year when everyone is slowly finishing exams and summer is fast approaching! As we all shake off the weary shackles of education and work for a few months (for us students anyway) there’s always those few songs that have you winding down the windows in your car and blasting them out as your soundtrack to the summer. Previous entries into this sun drenched hall of fame include MGMT’s massive ‘Kids’ (especially the genius soulwax remix), hands in the air dance classic ‘Show Me Love’ by Steve Angello and Laidback Luke and last years main contender Skreams remix of ‘In For The Kill’ by La Roux; the track that allowed dubstep to explode onto the scene that year. So without further ado I give you the tracks that will be rocking Flip! BBQ’s this summer:

1. Tame Impala – It’s Not Meant To Be

What better way to start than with a flashback to the 60′s. Describing themselves as trance/physcedelic/big beat and hailing from the most laid back of land masses; Australia, these guys have summer tattooed across their faces. They first came to light last year with their track ‘Half Glass Full of Wine’ which appeared on the last Soulwax cover CD for Mixmag. After that they sat in the dark, waiting for the sun to return and writing their debut album; ‘Innerspeaker’ which you can grab right now! The first single to be released is a track called ‘Solitude Is Bliss’ but for me ‘It’s Not Meant To Be’ is the stand out track and will hopefully get a release soon. Combining dreamy pop vocals and a lo fi production that makes it sound like it was recorded in their back garden, I’m finding it hard to keep my head in the naughties. Check it out on their MySpace here and join me in a bit of “happy soul wandering” as the band themselves put it.

2. Example – Kickstarts

Next up in this sunny soiree of artists is UK rapper come Electro Pop artist Example, with his latest offering; Kickstarts. Produced by Sub Focus and going straight to number 3 in the UK singles chart, Example has clearly stumbled across the formula for a cracking summer anthem. Funnily enough it has a similar synth lead line to MGMT’s kids, one that you can “du du du” at the top of your lungs with all your mates around you. If that’s not enough to get this track downloaded straight away, or you’re more of a serious dance head then check out the amazing remixes by Bar 9, Fenech Soler and Afrojack which will meet the needs of anyone into Dubstep or a bit of Jump up House. The Bar 9 remix even comes with it’s own official video which is just as good as the original and shot in a similar style to Romain Gavras music videos (think Justice and the shocking new MIA video). The single is out now, so head over to Example’s MySpace here for info on where to get it, tour dates and all sorts of goodies.

3. Rusko – Hold On

For those of you who crave another bass infused track to sing along to at those summer parties this year never fear, Dubstep giant Rusko has come along and made this beauty of a song. Featuring Amber Coffman on the vocals it’s a step down from the Leeds born producers normal hyped up party anthems (search ‘lick the lizard’ in youtube for a great example of how crazy he can be). Yet with some gentle breezy synths combined with the vocals and garage style rhythm it’s gonna be great to take it down a notch and relax to whilst you wait eagerly for a sausage or a burger. If you can’t get enough from just the single his debut album; ‘O.M.G!’ is available from all the usuals and if he’s playing at a venue near you soon, get there at all costs, he puts on one hell of a show.

4. Fake Blood – I Think I Like It

Take a track from the height of the disco era (this one to be exact), chop it up, then put it back together in an order that makes everyone on the dance floor perform the craziest sing along ever. That’s the exact formula that Fake Blood must have followed when creating this slice of modern day disco. No stranger to making summer smashers Fake Blood tore apart festivals in 2008 with his massive track ‘Mars’, ‘I Think I Like It’ is set to be just as successful. The track was released last year and after working up a storm across in the Netherlands, it got an official re-release along with the ‘Fix Your Accent’ EP that it’s taken from, via Herve’s ‘Cheap Thrills’ Label. The whole EP is definitely worth a buy as all three songs on it are massive! Head over to his MySpace to keep up to date with all bloody happenings.

5. Swedish House Mafia – ONE

So the sun is setting on your chosen festival/party and it’s time to set the music off epic style and rave the night away. If you find yourself in this situation across the summer I can guarantee that at least one DJ will let this banger end the night in style. Consisting of House renegades Steve Angello (of ‘show me love’ fame), Sebastian Ingrosso and Axwell, the Swedish House Mafia have crafted a track that might muster an audience reaction similar to that of Adagio for Strings by Tiesto. Despite DJ’ing together and hosting arenas and nights for several years, ONE is the first official release from the guys and if they carry on this way then we can expect huge things. The track starts with a techno vibe, a pulsing kick drum and simple lead riff and then suddenly … hands in the air moment … the trance chords kick in and you can almost see the lazers! Clearly produced for arenas and not laptop speakers it needs to be heard live to be fully appreciated, so wherever you’re sunning it up over the next few months make sure this is played at some point and play it loud.

So there you have it, five tracks to grab and blast out throughout the summer whilst you cram your face with burnt sausages and drink plenty of alcohol

On the 21st June 2010 we see the release of Eminem’s latest album hit out stores, with a bang! Recovery, is most definitely a come back from the accents, [...]

On the 21st June 2010 we see the release of Eminem’s latest album hit out stores, with a bang! Recovery, is most definitely a come back from the accents, and as funny as it was, his (some say) poor Relapse album we herd in 2009.

With collaborations from the likes of Lil Wayne, P!nk, Rihanna and Kobe this album holds many surprises, all amazingly great! Once you get to the track Going Through Changes you will hear the biggest surprise on the album, and you WILL be impressed, I promise…This album has definitely taken him back to his best, and without a doubt we can say he is back! We hear him apologise to us fans and others he tried going at over the last couple of years and he excuses his albums Encore and Relapse saying they don’t count due to the reasons of him being on drugs and him trying to flush them out whilst recording Relapse…ironic?

When we say he’s back, we mean it! Think The Slim Shady EP, The Marshall Mathers LP and The Eminem Show, his three best albums (all in the top 100 albums ever) come together to make an ultimate album! We hear Eminem (meaningful guy), Marshall (serious guy) and Slim (funny, also kind of crazy guy) all come together to possibly over take the three above albums, depending on which of these three characters you love the best.

On pretty much every album ever released by any artist there is at least one song you usually skip…not on this album. Every song is a listenable song, either if your happy, sad, angry, excited, anything, there’s a song for you! It’s kind of like a family movie…only its an Eminem album!

There are some amazing one liners on this album, again to either represent happiness or sadness, there’s something there to put on your Twitter or Facebook. You all need to erase Relapse from your album lists and just replace it with Recovery, it will make everything better.

The guys a lyrical genus. Best Album of the year!

11 out of 10!!!! Seriously.

Download it, buy it, listen to it, fall in love, replay it over and over, you will not get sick of it!

Just a note from me to all you readers;

I understand all reviews are meant to have something bad to say about anything they are review, just so they don’t seem too basis about something, but I can honestly say I couldn’t find anything about to say about this album, even Eminem attempt to sing, somehow he pulls it off. Next album, film or book I review I will try my best (as i did with this album) to be harsh as well as nice, but if I love something I’m not going to lie. I hope you all love this amazing album as much as I do. Enjoy folks!

I am one of the many people in Manchester who lives for those 12 weeks in the winter, when the Warehouse Project takes over Piccadilly and brings some of the finest dance acts to our very own doorstep. So when they announced they’d be putting on a festival in June, I was more than a little enthused and purchased my ticket immediately. However many months of waiting later, the day had finally arrived and I was beyond excited about the thought of donning my wellies and glow sticks for a day of rave.

Anticipation about the event had been building online for a while and it seemed like half of Manchester were attending. It was definitely the place to be seen and tickets flew out like hot cakes. As I donned my flowery play suit and biker boots, combined with denim shirt, sparkly eyeliner and wayfarers (so pretty much looking like I’d fallen straight out of a Festival Fashion Guide in Look Magazine), I wondered what the day would have in store and revelled at the thought of Manchester’s finest all coming together for the biggest festival the city had ever seen.

And so we made our way to Piccadilly Gardens and along with hundreds of other people, jumped on the bus down to Platt Fields. And then we saw it…at first I thought I was imagining it…surely not? But no, it was real alright – ‘it’ being the longest queue I have ever seen in my life. We got off the bus and followed the snake of people down the road and around the corner…it just went on and on, at one point I literally couldn’t even see where it ended. Thousands upon thousands of festival goers all equally as baffled as to how the organisers had managed to mess up the intake of people so much!

The street was lined with a trail of empty beer cans and every type of spirit bottle imaginable. Everyone there had the same thought – where can I get more alcohol? A mass pilgrimage had began to the nearest off license and there was almost a sense comradery, like we were all in this nightmare of a queue together. We conveniently made friends with the girls in front who had bought us some booze. I could not have felt more like a chav at this point if I’d tried – I was stood on the street with police everywhere, swigging from a bottle of blue WKD in broad daylight. It’s like I’d regressed back to my teenage youth, except back then I didn’t have to queue (or pay!) to drink in the park.

After about 90 minutes we were finally nearing the gate entrance and the thud of Simian Mobile Disco’s ‘I Believe’ reverberated my insides. Ten minutes later we were in. And wow, what a sight. I’ve never seen a higher concentration of hotties in the same place in my life. The last two hours of queuing were all but a distant memory and we quickly made our way to the Big Top Electro tent for some SMD lovin’.

After a good hour of dancing we were all in need of a few beverages and made our way to the bar…or at least as close to it as we could get before hitting the 10 person deep queue. Again with the queuing…it was starting to become a defining feature of the festival. After waiting about 15 minutes and getting to perhaps half way through the queue, we overheard they’d run out of cider and were told to go to one of the other bars on site. Pretty annoyed and even more thirsty, we trekked across the festival site to one of the smaller bars in search of our pint of Brothers.

With our drinks finally in hand, we were able to have a good wander round the site itself and check out the layout and some of the other tents. There were 5 tents in total plus the main stage, a chill out area which included converted bath tubs and sofa’s, an area dedicated to the World Cup with a huge screen for the England v USA game and the standard array of food vendors. I was quite impressed with the scale of the actual site, it was a lot bigger than I’d imagined and fairly well thought out. It did feel like a proper festival and it was almost surreal thinking that in fact, you were actually in the centre of Manchester! The gorgeous weather, combined with the friendly atmosphere and world class music acts kind of made you feel like you were abroad, it was quite strange.

We quickly downed our cider and made our way back to the Big Top for the legend that is Erol Alkan and my god was he good! We ran straight to the front and didn’t stop moving for his entire set. He cranked out a couple of classics putting his own twist on the production and mixed it in with some stuff I’d never heard of before. It was perfectly performed and meticulously crafted, you could tell real thought had gone into every song choice or remix or sync. It was just epic. We emerged from the tent feeling completely disorientated, it was still bright sunshine outside, we had just witnessed one of the best DJ sets we’d seen in a very long time and we were in a park in Manchester. It was amazing.

By this point, we were in need of refuelling and after much deliberation went for some £5 mediocre noodles and caught the last five minutes of Calvin Harris’s set. We then had 30 minutes to kill before Friendly Fires came on the main stage and not being interested in football one bit made our way to the chill out area. There was a small tent with a bar here and some standard DJ’s playing everything from Michael Jackson to Blackstreet. This little tent was a gem of a find, they served actual Jagermeister and there was no queue for the bar! We stayed here for a while dancing and watching 4 guys busting some serious moves to ‘I Want You Back’. Again, this was such an amazing but surreal moment – we’d stumbled across our very own Jackson 4 in the middle of Manchester.

I was pretty excited about seeing Friendly Fires and there was a huge crowd waiting for them to come on. They soon disappeared. We stayed for about 3 songs then left, what a massive disappointment. I don’t know whether it was the EQ or the levels but something wasn’t right, we could barely hear the lead singer and it was coming across as really drab and thin. At least a third of the crowd left and the remaining bunch were definitely deflated. After quickly checking our set listings we ran round to see Fake Blood but to our dismay couldn’t get in the tent! It was surrounded by stewards at all entrances and was absolutely rammed. Everyone had the same idea. So then it was a case of not who we wanted to see, but where we could get in! We ended up catching the last 5 minutes of Kele Okereke’s set in the Now Wave tent and had a little dance to a second-rate version of ‘Flux’. It was half ten at this point and we couldn’t get in to any of the other tents so like thousands of other people just made our way to the bus stop.

Parklife was a great event to bring to Manchester and I really hope it returns next year. There was a brilliant atmosphere on the festival site and Manchester’s most stylish were out in force. I do however, hope that the organisers learn from their mistakes and improve on a few things before it runs again; namely a better entry system, ordering more booze and bar staff and hiring bigger tents (or at least getting an act on the main stage that were actually good live!) I also think it’d be better to start and finish it later next year too so that it goes on through the night – as much as I loved dancing my butt off at 5 in the afternoon I think it would have been even better if we were able to dance into the wee small hours! But all in all, an excellent first attempt for the several promoters involved, a definite success. Bring on Parklife 2011!

Since 2007, three dubstep heavyweights have been lurking around in the shadows playing odd shows and slowly creating tracks that will blow the dubstep world apart! These three men are Skream, Benga and Artwork, all swapping their vinyls for Apple Macbook Pro’s and creating a live dubstep show that is set to tear through festivals this summer including Glastonbury, Reading and Wireless. Their EP “The Cyberman” dropped last year (get it here) and people have been holding tight ever since waiting for a sneak peak into the forthcoming album, thankfully the wait is over and ‘Mad’ has arrived.

The track opens up with an 8-bit synth lead that’s rinsed in so much reverb it sounds like your being sucked into a black hole, which of course is exactly what happens at the drop. A gut punching sub crashes through combined with a proper “slap to the face” snare. It’s clear that this comes direct from the pioneers of the dubstep world; it’s straight, no questions asked, 70bpm, Bassface inducing brilliance. The range of synthlines and subs throughout the track keep you wanting more and as I write this listening to the track on repeat in a library, I’m finding it very difficult to stop myself from having a full on brok out in between the shelves!

Last week David Guetta took over at the top of the charts with ‘Gettin Over You’ demoting former number one Dizzee Rascal to a fourth place finish. On the midweek charts it looks like poor old Davids been demoted now by a very frisky Tinie Tempah. ‘Frisky’ enters the chart this week as a new entry and could be set to be number one by Sunday.

Meanwhile climbing up the chart is T In The Park Headliner Eminem with ‘Not Affraid’, the lead single from recently leaked album ‘Recovery’. Eminem is sitting at number three in the chart at the moment whilst fellow American Usher is also climbing up the chart with ‘O.M.G’ currently sitting pretty at fourth.

Jason Deruloooooooooooooooooooo…(okay that jokes getting old now) slips down the chart two places with ‘Ridin Solo’ having to make do with fifth place. B.O.B also drops down the chart meaning he has to settle with being sixth. At seven its a non mover for Alicia Keys with ‘Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart’, A song thats been in the chart for a epic twenty two weeks now.

At Number eight on the chart, up eight places is the coca cola song Wavin’ Flag by K’naan, Could this really be a surprise number one some point soon?

Down five places on this weeks midweek chart is Dizzee Rascal. Former number one single ‘Dirtee Disco’ is falling down the chart but currently holding on to its ninth place. Number ten on the chart however has climbed three places. Its Miley Cyrus with ‘Can’t Be Tamed’

Since the release of Lady Gaga’s new video, ‘Alejandro’ this week, Her single has climbed in the top 20 along with B.O.B’s new single ‘Airplanes’. Thats the midweek music musings for now.

Join us again next week

As I curiously meandered down the backstreets of the Northern Quarter, I became eager to experience what the bands at this years’ The Hungry Pigeon festival had to offer, anticipating whether I was to be amazed by new and upcoming talent on the Manchester scene. The day started with the first band to hit Band On The Wall, Pseudo Stereo opening with the song ‘Somebody New’ setting off the festival in the depths of Manchester’s Northern Quarter. With a charismatic lead, Andy, taking centre stage and with intense musical crescendos, the band can be recognised with a similar style to the likes of The Arctic Monkeys. In discovering that the band had not rehearsed in five weeks since their gig at Club Academy, there was quite an impressive stage presence; particularly for the opening set with the first drifters casually propped at the bar, being quite the flaneurs with Red Stripe in hand.

The band took a particular challenge covering Bill Withers ‘Ain’t No Sunshine’, and to my surprise was played to a decent standard, yet used ‘artistic license’ to amend the song into a climax of heavy drums with the bass throbbing through the walls. I admit I had ambivalent feelings toward this change in tempo and style, yet this song allowed Pseudo Stereo to stand strong as a three man band.

‘Red Dress’ was the follow up number, proving the lead singer/guitarist to be talented in a technical sense, however receiting face value lyrics, yet redeeming this with a closing of catchy guitar riffs, a key necessity to a successful song. ‘She Was Broken’ is clearly an answer to desired inspiration and listening to the latest two Kings Of Leon albums, even the notorious vocals of Caleb Followill seemed to be echoed as Andy crooned over the microphone with a great sense of confidence. To complete the set, ambitiously, the band set out on covering Stevie Wonder’s ‘Superstition’. This soulful number was a risk to take and possibly too great a step, as the change in style undermined the potential of the cover. Never the less, it became evident that crescendos seemed to be a trade mark of the band, and to their credit, the build up to this heavy climax blended well to erase a sense of segregation.

Overall the band played to a good standard, particularly for an opening act. These boys are young too so you may see them on the up rise, check them out on www.myspace.com/pseudostereomusic.

After a gander around Piccadilly gardens to watch some kids in parkers chase pigeons, I returned to Band On The Wall to catch the final two songs of Outrage’s set, stepping into a growl from the guitar reminiscent of Buzzock’s chart appearances with vocals mirroring Bob Dylan when he turned to electric, even the pace of delivery offered similarity. However, effects pedals were used to summon physcadellic riffs that the sixties would be proud to have owned. However, this band sing lyrics such as ‘the time has come’, but I think this band has disregarded that there is no longer a need to strum in support of protests and revolution, the era has past. Maybe if they’re lucky, it will resurrect.

Now next to emerge on the stage was something special. Various pieces of a folk band began arranging on stage as the reluctant star of the show stood centre forward, semi acoustic in hand. The vocals that immersed from this man’s mouth were of gentle substance, with sometimes an incomprehensible lyrics yet maintained a balance between beauty and masculinity compounded within a several piece band, backing female singers to the left, saxophone and trumpet to the right in a majestic onsaumble. The use of the varied instruments helped keep a sense of diversity throughout the set, with a Celtic jam feel and a hint of an Irish punk influence. As lovely as the female vocalists were, I do believe that the band would be stronger with the lead male vocals as they make some of the songs seem dated. However, this lead singer was destined for great things. If Tom Waits and Devendra Banhart made a creation together, the lead singer of The Sensations would be their Frankenstein. Without the whiskey.

Strolling down towards Thomas Street to see the bands stowed in to the atmospheric underground of The Bay Horse, and upon entrance the room feels like a quiet house party as I join people on the sofas to watch the two man band, Sam Grey, an average indie acoustic set with nothing particularly sublime. However to the two lads’ credit they were able to entertain and please the crowd with a bode of confidence in their plectrums, yet I struggled to decipher what was making the audience so enthusiastic. It was a task trying to differentiate between charisma and alcohol.

Next up to the stand was another duo of colourful personalities. Taking the floor with guitars in hand, floor drums, a tambourine pedal and a glockenspiel (one that an eight year old I know has) I began to wonder if these two were coloured with crayons. Being quite unconventional in comparison to the earlier sets of the day, they kicked off with a song called ‘Don’t Dally Sally’, and the name said it all. The pair played like The Cribs would have if they were in a playground in the sixties, singing in chorus, the song proved to be quite catchy surprisingly, yet there seemed something cheesy about the performance. Even the comedic intervals between the songs were done as a pair, finishing off each others’ sentences . Never the less, the band were adorable for their efforts, with lyrics such as ‘If my head was a house I’d let you live in every room’, and would be fun to listen to on a summers day with the tide coming in. Have a listen to You Make Me Be, which is one of the numbers on The Valentines’ EP.

Down in the depths of Moho’s, the most charismatic person of the day, and in fact that I have seen in a while, took the stage in Moho’s room one, announcing his band to be The Catfish and The Bottle Men ready to show off their EP ‘Beautiful Day’ which is now out. This unsigned band should definitely be next in line to join a label but if you want to experience this band properly I’d suggest for you to get down to Fac251 on the 26th of June when they make their return to Manchester. Taking inspiration from several angles, the band impress the audience with the lead hurtling round the stage, although disguising a few power chords with the use of a capo, these have the energy that a lot of young bands are missing today hurling into almost hardcore climaxes similar to those of The Bronx.

Bleakhill were to follow, with Counting Crows style vocals echoing through the crowd, creating a decent stand for themselves, yet I would have liked to see more intricacy on the guitar to avoid the songs sounding too flat. With the drunken man of the audience clambering on stage by the second song, opening with Blink 182 riffs, the band continue to ignore this presence until the end after the middle eight of the song uses creepy riffs to break the tempo in a way to emphasise the crescendos that get blasted through the amps. The third song played was more melodic yet followed the same formula as previous, Bleakhill becoming evidently a structured band with little room for expression, including their stage performance. Although I found an irony in that being unique wasn’t one of the band’s qualities as they sang ‘am I so predictable’, they did put on a good performance, and with more confidence and loosening up a bit, this band could become something.

So as far as The Hungry Pigeon Festival’s final day went, the bands were impressive, particularly some of the ones who haven’t been snatched up by a label yet, most of whom I thoroughly enjoyed and I would definitely recommend it for next year if you want to be able to say ‘I saw them when’.
