
It was only a couple of weeks ago that we wrote about Lady GaGa being Number One and here we go again. This week has seen Joe McEldery the Crap factor winner being knocked of the top spot to be replaced by Lady GaGa. Her single “Bad Romance” has gone back to being Number One making the climb Number Two for a second time in as many weeks. Third in the chart is a reclaimer from Black Eyed Peas with “Meet Me Halfway”. Number Four See’s another climber up the chart from Ke$ha with “Tik Tok” whilst Cherly Cole slips down a place to Number Five with “3 Words”.
3OH!3 and Katy Perry have slipped down a place on the chart with “Starstrukk” whilst Journey remain at Number Seven with “Don’t Stop Believing”. Both Number Eight and Nine remain the same with both Rhianna and Robbie Williams keeping there spots with “Russian Roulette ” and “You Know Me”.
The chart ends this week with Chipmunk ft. Talay Riley and ‘Look For Me’ climbing all the way from 13th to Number Ten. Over on the album chart Paolo Nutini has topped the chart again with “Sunny Side Up”. The album, which is Nutini’s second album, has spent 31 weeks in the chart and was first Number One in June.
Elsewhere in the chart, Michael Bublé, who was number one with Crazy Love last week, dropped three places to Number Four. Meanwhile, Florence and the Machine’s Lungs shot up 20 places to reach Number Six, and Muse climbed up 27 places with The Resistance to Number Eight. Lady GaGa’s “Fame Monster” is at Number Two, Susan Boyle’s “I Dreamed A Dream” is at Number Three and Black Eyed Peas “The End” is at Number Five.
Will Young’s “The Hits” has climbed two places to Number Seven whilst Snow Patrol drop one place to Number Nine. JLS have also dropped a couple of places and sit at Number Ten with debut self titled album “JLS”.
In music news, Lady GaGa’s “Poker Face” has been named the fastest selling single of 2009. GaGa has also had her debut album The Fame named the second fastest selling album behind Subo. Other notable singles include La Roux’s “Going In For The Kill” at Number Six, Rage Against The Machine at Number Eight and The Black Eyed Peas charting 3 Times.
Elsewhere in music land, Ke$ha has revealed that she made no money from her collaboration with Flo Rida. According to website WENN, she said: “It was an accident I was even on the track. I didn’t make any money off it, that’s why I put the dollar sign in my name as a joke.
And finally Coldplay have raised over £250,000 in a eBay charity auction. That’s your lot.
