Paramore have been around for ages, but last week the band finally hit the mainstream by notching up there first number one album in the UK. “Brand New Eyes” is the new album from the American four piece and has already impressed critics by knocking Madonnas album of the top spot. Paramore’s previous best U.K. album chart peak was No. 20 for their second album “Riot!

Poor old Madge has now had to settle with second place for her album ‘Celebration’ whilst Newton Faulkner album ‘Rebuilt By Humans’ is in at Number Three. Barbra Streisand also debuts in the top five this week, shes in at Number Four with ‘Love Is The Answer’. Muse have slipped three places down to Number Five with album ‘The Resistance’ along with Dizzee Rascal who has also slipped three places with ‘Tongue N Cheek’ at Number Six.

Coffin dodger Cliff Richard is at Number Seven with ‘Reunited’ whilst Ian Brown ‘My Way’ is Number Eight. Jay Z’s ‘Blue Print 3‘ has slipped down a place to Nine, whilst at Number Ten is Vera Lynn: ‘We’ll Meet Again – The Very Best Of’ who slips three places.

In the singles chart, Taio Cruz remains at Number One with ‘Break Your Heart’ and Jay Z moves up a place to Number Two with ‘Empire State of Mine’. David Guetta and Akon are still in the top three with ‘Sexy Bitch‘ and Shakira is at Number Four with ‘She Wolf’.

Black Eyed Peas have climbed a place up to Number Six with ‘I Gotta Feeling’ and ‘Run This Town’ by Jay Z and Co is at Number Seven. The Temper Trap has climbed all the way up to Number Eight with ‘Sweet Disposition’. Pixie Lott has slipped a place to Nineth whilst Dizzee Rascal has climbed a place ‘Dirtee Cash’ in at Number Ten. Surely a number one in the making?

Now for the Music News, Liam Gallagher is a singer songwriter but i bet you dint know hes also a break dancer. No seriously he is.  Gallagher told The Sun “You want to look good. Girls are involved. I was into the old tracksuits. I never wore silly hats that turned sideways. Just the tracksuit”. Gallagher also mentioned that he used to be a fan of electro music when he was younger ”That was the first kind of music I got into really. We used to go round with a piece of lino, doing a bit of breakdancing in town to get a bit of money.”

As well as speaking to The Sun, he told The Times. ”Oasis is no longer. I think we all know that. So that’s done,” Its a shame to hear it from the man himself but least the press can stop saying there going to continue without Noel.

Elsewhere in Musicland, looks like Tinchy Stryder is the new Kanye West when it comes to complaining. Tinchy Stryder has gone on to  claim that the MOBO awards are out of touch with popular opinion. No Tinchy there just out of touch with your opinion, You lost fair and square. Deal with it mate. Heres hoping he gets snubbed at the Brits too.

Thats the music blog for this week. Check back soon for the next one
