This week we have seen chart history being made again. Not only have The Beatles climbed back up the album charts but Dame Vera Lynn has become the oldest living artist to score a Number One album.
Meanwhile The Beatles have four of their remastered albums in the top ten, breaking the record for most albums simultaneously in the top ten by a group. The previous record was held by The Monkees, who held three spots in the top ten way back in 1967. Seven other remastered Beatles albums chart between positions 11 and 40, giving the group a total of eleven entries in the Album Top 40 alone. Meanwhile on the album chart, Jamie T’s new album ‘Kings & Queens’ has entered in at Number Two with The Cribs new album entering in at Number Eight.
David Guetta’s ‘One Love’ album has held its own at Number Three and Arctic Monkeys have fallen three places down to four with there third studio album ‘Humbug’. Kings of Leon’s ‘Only By The Night’ has also fallen down the charts and currently sits at Number Seven.
On to the Singles Chart. Pixie Lott has notched up her second Number One hit with ‘Boys And Girls’. The song zooms to the top of the singles chart this week, matching the success of her debut single ‘Mama Do’, which was Number One way back in May. David Guetta and Akon are back at Number Two with ‘Sexy Bitch’, while the Number One of last week, ‘Run This Town’ by Jay-Z, Rihanna and Kanye West, falls down to Number Three. The Campest man in pop Mika is at Number Four with ‘We Are Golden’, his first single in nearly 2 years.

Sugarbabes have dropped to Eight with single ‘Get Sexy’ and Muse are having an ‘Uprising’ at Number Nine. Finally at Number Ten its Little Boobs with Remedy.
Thats your chart news now for the music news. If reports are to be believed, Simon Cowell has expressed an interest in England’s official World Cup anthem. Cowell has supposedly told the Football Association that he would like one of his acts to perform the song next year. Here’s hoping its not as crap as the previous songs have been.
Now cast your mind back a few months, We here at Flip! Towers reported that 90′s Barbie Girl Loving band Aqua were getting back together. We thought they were best left in the 80′s and now heres another band at it. Irish girlband B*Witched have reportedly held talks about making a musical comeback. The four-piece, which stars Edele and Keavy Lynch, Sinead O’Carroll and Lindsay Armaou, are said to be considering reuniting after meeting up for the first time in over three years.
And Finally. Simon Cowell has predicted that Susan Boyle will put her troubles behind her for good when she releases her debut album later this year.
