Dear Katie, I have been going out with this lad for pretty much the last seven months. We get along brilliantly with each other and I really do like him. But my parents are totally against him because his two brothers are in prison and my boyfriend now and again takes tablets. I don’t because I have enough problems on my mind at the moment without taking drugs. The best thing about him is that he won’t take them around me. Can you please give me some advice?

Hi Katrina, this is difficult, if you tell him to stop he might take that as a bad thing, but if you dont let him know how you feel he may think your fine with it. Advise him to go on talktofrank, if he doesnt want to know just make sure he knows how you feel and give him an ultimatum, even if your not that botherd, which to be honest you should.

Its good he doesnt surround you with it and does it away from you but at the same time he shouldnt be doing it at all. I know your both young, but you dont need drugs to ahve a good time, just a few drinks!

With the parents not liking him, hes not going out with them is he? Its you he should be interested in and him you should be interested in. Also your mum and dad should be happy your happy!
